Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Software Development Engineer II for the Telco Industry Solutions team. You will design and build scalable telco solutions, including OSS/BSS and customer experience platforms, using AWS services.

You will gather requirements, architect solutions, and deliver end-to-end implementations, translating complex telco needs into robust, scalable architectures. Mentorship and cross-functional collaboration are key parts of the role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, reusable solutions for telecommunications industry domains including networking infrastructure, OSS/BSS, and customer experience platforms.
• Engage with telco customers to gather technical requirements, understand business objectives, and define solution architectures.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of customer solutions from initial design through implementation, testing, and production deployment.
• Build frameworks and patterns, including Agentic-AI, that can be leveraged across multiple telecommunications customers and use cases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, solutions architects, and customer success to ensure successful outcomes.
• Contribute to the development of best practices, reference architectures, and technical documentation for telco industry solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical growth of the team.
