Job summary

NVIDIA in Santa Clara, CA, seeks a System Software Engineer to build trusted firmware and low-level system software for Tegra platforms. You will craft and integrate software across ARM Trusted Firmware stacks, work on advanced CPU architectures, and collaborate with upstream communities to advance security and performance.

The role focuses on power, performance, and security, with opportunities to contribute from design to productization and gain impact across NVIDIA’s Tegra roadmap.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with embedded systems and device driver development.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming.
• Deep understanding of OS fundamentals and computer architecture concepts (MMU, Cache Coherency, TLB, Timers, ISRs).
• Knowledge of ARM trusted components, bootloaders, hypervisors, or UEFI is a plus.
• Knowledge of Safety and Security standards (ISO26262, CERT-C, MISRA-C) is a plus.
• Outstanding problem-solving skills and a track record of delivering high-quality software.
• Proficiency in using AI tools for producing high quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Designing, crafting and developing system software related to ARM's Trusted Firmware Stack.
• Involving in next generation CPU architecture for Tegra platform.
• Collaborate with upstream community to develop software for ARM technologies and drive spec improvements.
• Solve complex issues around power, performance and security in the Trusted Framework Stack.
• Participate in architectural explorations including feasibility studies and safety evaluations.
• Perform development and bring-up activities for next-generation Tegra SoC hardware.
• Develop high-performance low-level device drivers for Tegra platforms.
• Review architecture docs and translate design to productization.
