Job summary

NVIDIA in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Senior Tegra Software Engineer (Finance) to develop bare metal firmware and security software for Tegra SoCs, collaborating with architecture and hardware teams to push the next generation of GPUs, AI accelerators, and autonomous systems.

You will tackle pre-silicon validation, ROT and Secure Boot efforts, and work across OS internals, embedded software, and cryptography. Strong C/C++/Assembly skills and excellent communication are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant software development experience.
• Proficiency in programming and debugging in C, C++, and Assembly; Rust and Ada/Spark are a plus.
• Good understanding of operating system internals, embedded systems, and security software.
• A proven great teammate; self-motivated with a positive attitude and the ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop bare metal firmware, software, and applications for various security use cases and proofs of concept.
• Handle and debug all security and system software issues for Tegra SoC.
• Work on ROT (Root of Trust) build in the cryptographic security system.
• Take an active role in the new silicon lifecycle, from pre-silicon simulation/emulation, test validation to power-on bring up phases. Specify and implement test cases while actively seeking improvements to test automation and software quality.
• Collaborate closely with architecture and different software and hardware teams to improve the next generation of NVIDIA System-on-Chips.
• Engage with our technology partners on critical discussions to ensure seamless integration and flawless performance.
