Job summary

City of Virginia Beach Library seeks Librarian I/II- Teen, to plan and deliver programming and outreach across facilities. This role emphasizes collaboration, community engagement, and service excellence within a busy library system.

Under supervision, you will coordinate with the Programming and Community Outreach Manager and support systemwide events. MLS is required; two years' experience and a valid driver’s license are essential for eligibility.

Qualifications

• Requires MLS from an ALA-accredited program.
• Minimum two years of professional library experience.
• Current and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide complex library services with focus on teen programming and outreach.
• Initiate, plan, and conduct programs, events, and outreach visits.
• Develop and foster partnerships with organizations and agencies.
• Assist with systemwide programming and training across locations.
• Track data and generate reports to support planning and operations.
