Job summary

YMCA of Greater Brandywine in Coatesville, PA seeks a leader to oversee administrative, programmatic, and delivery of programs in line with YMCA quality standards. The role emphasizes guiding staff, ensuring safety, and promoting healthy living.

You will recruit and train swim instructors, coordinate swim lessons, manage records, and collaborate across teams to grow programming for members and the community. Strong communication and youth-development passion required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of advanced experience in the specialty field or related field.
• Must be 21 years or older at hire date.
• Ability to use technology for programmatic needs.
• 4+ years of teaching experience in the specialty area.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the specialty area.
• Obtain and maintain new-hire certifications within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct class sessions as scheduled with enthusiasm and professionalism.
• Lead programs with motivation and positive energy.
• Promote a healthy attitude and appearance.
• Organize and maintain program records and rosters.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and staffing for swim lesson programs.
• Recruit, train, and hire swim instructors and ensure curricula are followed.
• Coordinate and schedule swim lessons for all ages.
• Attend service trainings and staff meetings.
• Ensure compliance with YMCA policies and procedures.
