Job summary

The YMCA of Central Florida is seeking a Youth Development Program Supervisor to organize day-to-day operations, supervise staff, and implement activities that promote teen growth in a safe environment.

Responsibilities include planning teen activities, ensuring safety, and maintaining records. Candidates should have an associate degree or higher, 1–3 years in youth development or customer service, and CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1-3 years of teen development or customer service experience.
• YMCA youth development or operations experience preferred.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
• Must be willing to regularly work flexible hours, weekends and holidays.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe environment for a Youth Development program.
• Attend staff meetings and establish in-service training.
• Assist in planning and implementing daily lesson/activity plans for teens.
• Ensure safety and quality of supplies, equipment and materials.
• Report suspicions of child abuse to proper authorities.
• Manage check-in/out of teens daily.
• Report accidents and complete health/incident forms.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the teen program area.
• Share in housekeeping duties.
• Uphold YMCA core values in activities.
• Build relationships with teens and understand their development.
• Foster positive parent/staff relations.
• Participate in events and fundraising.
• Complete paperwork clearly and concisely.
• Stay updated on emergency procedures and policies.
• Ensure programs comply with state/local child care requirements.
• Promote the YMCA mission and values.
• All other duties as assigned by management.
