Job summary

YMCA of Central Florida is seeking a Youth Program Supervisor to organize day-to-day operations, supervise staff, and implement activities that promote teens’ social, physical, spiritual, and mental growth in a safe, well-organized environment.

The role requires 1–3 years in teen development or customer service, plus CPR/First Aid. You will train staff, plan daily activities, ensure safety, and maintain compliance with regulations while supporting family engagement and program quality.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent required; child development or related field of study preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in teen development or customer service related field required.
• YMCA youth development or operations experience preferred.
• Microsoft Office proficiency required; Oracle experience a plus.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
• Must be willing to regularly work flexible hours, weekends and holidays.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and healthy environment for the Youth Development program operation.
• Attend staff meetings and establish in-service training.
• Assist in planning and implementing daily lesson and activity plans for teens.
• Ensure safety of youth and quality of supplies and equipment.
• Report suspicions of child abuse to proper authorities.
• Manage check-in/out procedures for teens daily.
• Maintain health logs and incident reports as required.
• Oversee maintenance of the teen program area for safety and cleanliness.
• Share regular housekeeping tasks and prep for activities.
• Promote YMCA Character Traits in all activities.
• Build positive relationships with teens and address their developmental needs.
• Foster positive parent/staff relations and participation in events.
• Complete paperwork clearly and concisely; stay updated on procedures.
• Ensure programs comply with state and local child care requirements.
