Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania is seeking a Teen Program Coordinator in Shadyside, PA. You will help plan and run teen programming that promotes academics, leadership, health, and career readiness, while building strong relationships with youth and their families.

The role focuses on creating a safe, inclusive environment, supporting outreach, and tracking program impact. A background in youth services and trauma-informed practices is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred in Education, Human Services, Social Work, Youth Development, or Recreation.
• Minimum of two years working with middle/high school youth in relevant settings preferred.
• Minimum of one year managing youth programs or related initiatives preferred.

Job description

Location: Shadyside, PA
Pay: $18/hour
Schedule: Typically 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM during the school year and 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM during the summer; hours may vary.

Position Summary

The Teen Program Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and implementation of high-quality teen programming designed to promote academic success, leadership development, healthy lifestyles, workforce readiness, mentoring, and social‑emotional growth. This role builds meaningful relationships with youth, families, schools, and community partners while creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where teens can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate engaging teen programming.
• Support mentoring, workforce development, leadership, and social‑emotional learning initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Services, Social Work, Youth Development, Recreation, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
• Minimum of two years of experience working with middle or high school‑aged youth in an educational, recreational, community‑based, or youth development setting preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience managing youth programs, education initiatives, workforce development programs, or community‑based initiatives.
