Job summary

City of Manchester is seeking a Teen Librarian in the Youth Division. The role provides reader's advisory, information, technology support, and program services at a library location, under supervision of a Librarian III.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Library Science, Computer Science, Public Relations Degree, or related; and
  • Three to five years of library experience; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the work.

Responsibilities

  • Provide reader’s advisory and reference services to patrons.
  • Assist patrons with information, technology, and research needs.
  • Plan and direct youth and adult programs and classes.
  • Weed and maintain the materials collection as assigned.
  • Supervise staff and volunteers at the location.
  • Maintain a safe, welcoming library environment and excellent customer service.
