Job summary

Nelib in Manchester, NH seeks a full-time Teen Librarian to plan and run teen programming across middle and high school ages. You will supervise teen volunteers, curate teen collections, and promote library resources at schools and community events.

Responsibilities include outreach to schools, daycare centers, and city organizations, plus assisting patrons at youth desks and contributing to a future Makerspace initiative.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Library Science or related field.
• 3–5 years of library experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan programs with Youth Services librarians for middle–high school, including summer and winter reading programs.
• Supervise Teen Volunteers.
• Select Teen materials and maintain the collection; weed to keep it current.
• Represent the library at events: preschools/daycare centers, after-school programs, schools, and city organizations.
• Staff children's circulation and reference desks and track statistics.
• Demonstrate and assist with library technology and teen resources.
• Create displays promoting library resources and materials.
• Develop ideas for a future Makerspace area and participate in meetings and conferences.
