Job summary

The Salvation Army in Tulsa invites a part-time youth program coordinator to lead teen leadership activities and curriculum within the Red Shield Youth Center. You will recruit, mentor, and guide teens, coordinating with staff to align programming with mission goals.

You will work evenings and weekends, supervise activities, ensure safety, and transport youth as needed. A degree and two years of teen work are required, with CPR/First Aid certification expected.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalency in education, recreation, social services.
• Two years of experience working with teens.
• Evenings and weekends required to supervise center needs.
• Valid State Driver’s License.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Manages a comprehensive teen leadership program curriculum aligned with The Salvation Army Red Shield Youth Center values.
• Implements engaging activities, workshops, and events for diverse teen interests.
• Ensures programs are safe and drive outcomes.
• Identifies and recruits teen leaders from membership through outreach and promotion.
• Conducts interviews to select participants showing leadership potential.
• Incorporates academic support and tutoring in collaboration with Director of Education.

Education
