Job summary

American HVAC is seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems in our Pompano Beach area offices and client sites. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to safety, and a commitment to customer service.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as an HVAC technician, preferably in a commercial setting.
• EPA certification required; additional certifications (NATE, OSHA) are a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose HVAC system issues in commercial buildings.
• Perform repairs, maintenance, and installations on chillers, air handlers, and rooftop units.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, codes, and company policies.

• Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Provide emergency repair services as part of an on-call rotation.
