Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is partnering with a Chicago law firm seeking a Technology Transactions Associate with 4–5 years of experience to support life sciences and tech clients. You will draft and negotiate various agreements, guide IP strategy, and assist on M&A, financings, and public offerings in fast-paced environments.

Candidates should have a JD, be admitted to the Illinois bar, and demonstrate strong research, drafting, and communication abilities, with a keen interest in technology

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of legal experience in IP and technology transactions.
• Interest in technology transactions for M&A matters and emerging company clients.
• Excellent research, analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate collaboration, partnering, licensing, and commercial agreements.
• Provide expert guidance on product strategy, development, and market positioning for technology companies.
• Advise clients on corporate partnerships, strategic alliances, and licensing in life sciences and tech sectors.
• Assist with IP and technology aspects of M&A, public offerings, and VC financings.
• Conduct research and analysis on AI, fintech, autonomous vehicles, and related technologies.
