Job summary

The People Of: Professional Services seeks a Technology Transactions Associate to join its Technology Transactions team in Seattle, with offices in Portland and Sacramento. Position Type: Associate (2–5 Years PQE)

A leading international law firm is seeking a Technology Transactions Associate with 2–5 years of experience to join its dynamic Technology Transactions team. This role offers exposure to innovative clients and emerging technologies, advising both established and high-growth companies on transactional, IP, and venture capital matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate collaboration, licensing, partnering, and commercial agreements for companies at all stages, including emerging company/venture capital clients


• Advise technology companies on product strategy, development, and market positioning


• Assist with IP and technology aspects of M&A transactions and venture capital financings


• Conduct research and provide analysis across technologies such as AI, fintech, autonomous vehicles, edtech, renewable energy, AR/VR, cybersecurity, biotechnology, and digital health

Qualifications

• 2+ years of legal experience in IP and technology transactions


• Strong interest in technology transactions for M&A and emerging company/venture capital clients


• Excellent research, drafting, analytical, and communication skills


• JD required and admission to the state bar of the office location


• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $235,000 – $365,000, depending on experience and qualifications
