ENTITY : Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Parish in Broomfield is a Colorado nonprofit corporation that provides ministry services to the Broomfield community. Nativity : Faith and Reason is a ministry of the parish.

Time Commitment : As directed by the employee’s contract. A contract is offered for one academic year.

THE POSITION :

Nativity : Faith and Reason, a Catholic school in Broomfield, CO, is seeking a part-time Technology teacher (grades 6, 7, and 8). The candidate should be able to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program in a grade school learning environment, working in collaboration with classroom teachers and school administration.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES :

• Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school.
• Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church.
• Supports and adheres to the Code of Conduct and policies and procedures of the school and Archdiocese of Denver.
• Abides by the Confidentiality Policy set forth in the Faculty Handbook.
• Communicates effectively with students, parents, and other professionals.
• Performs the duties of a teacher faithfully and satisfactorily at the prescribed times and places.
• Follows school policies in selecting materials.
• Maintains good discipline in the classroom.
• Cooperates with the school administration in all matters.
• Participates in parent-teacher conferences and other school-related activities.
• Demonstrates professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and work habits.
• Maintains a work schedule that maximizes availability to the school, students, and staff.
• Collaborates with peers to enhance the work environment and support instructional planning.
• Conferences with parents upon request and responds to messages promptly.
• Performs additional duties assigned by the principal.

Requirements :

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

• Teaching credential strongly preferred.
• Minimum two years of teaching experience preferred.
• Experience with Google Workspace and Chromebooks strongly preferred.
• Ability to maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

• Daily sitting, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, grabbing, pulling, hearing, seeing, and speaking.
• Repetitive tasks such as keyboarding, reading, and writing.
• Monitoring students in various locations, managing noise, activity, and weather conditions.
• Maintaining composure, physical health, and ability to lift 30 pounds, move quickly, and perform physical tasks as required.
