Position: Technology Support Specialist - Help Desk & Training
Department: Information Technology
Reports to: IT Help Desk Manager
Status: Non-Exempt

Summary
Provides technical support to all of the Organization's end-users in the area of Goodwill Keystone Area network. Offers workstation support, customer service, and training to all employees.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides support for workstations, including troubleshooting, upgrades, maintenance, and security. Supports network devices and assists with IT help-desk support.
- Maintains network performance through monitoring and analysis, troubleshooting network issues, and reporting escalations.
- Supports users across all locations, diagnoses issues, provides instructions, and maintains help-desk systems. Works with the Help Desk Manager on trends and solutions.
- Prepares and tests computer equipment for deployment and store openings, providing on-site support if needed.
- Travels to sites for audits and training events.
- Updates IT and training manuals, communicates changes, and creates user tips.
- Provides training to new and existing users, identifies training needs, and participates in professional development.
- Maintains user ID databases, ensures system security, and assists with user account issues.
- Supports setup and troubleshooting of IP-based camera systems with Loss Prevention.
- Monitors compliance with HIPAA, PCI, and Hi-Tech regulations.
- Conducts user surveys to improve service quality.
- Promotes workplace safety and communicates progress and concerns to the Help Desk Manager.
- Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in relevant fields preferred; HSD/GED with experience also acceptable.
- Experience with end-user training and IP camera systems is a plus.
- Experience in troubleshooting hardware and desktop support.

- Strong networking knowledge.
- Proficient with hardware and software applications.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with multitasking ability.
- Flexible with hours and on-call availability.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel within the territory.
- Owns a cell phone.
- Knowledge of networking is essential.
