Job summary

Bloomington Public Schools' Normandale Hills Elementary & New Code Academy seek a Technology Support Paraprofessional to serve as the primary tech support for the elementary school and New Code Academy.

ASAP start, 8 hours per day, 195 days, 10 months, with wages from $23.06 to $27.15 per hour. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot equipment, assist staff and students, maintain inventories, and perform general para duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma and 60 credits or Para Pro Exam completed.
  • Advanced knowledge of technology equipment and troubleshooting.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills required.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple schedules and tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair building technology equipment.
  • Provide technology related customer service and troubleshooting support.
  • Manage building tech inventory and follow district technology standards and practices.
  • General Para duties as assigned - Webmaster, AM/PM Bus duty, lunch/recess duty.
  • Other duties as assigned.

This Tech Support Parawill serve as the primary tech for an elementary school. as well as NCA an online-school

Required Education
  • High School Diploma
  • 60 credits of post-secondary education or a passing score on the Para Pro Exam
Required Experience
  • Advanced knowledge of technology equipment
  • Advanced customer service skills
  • Ability to independently prioritize and execute tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
  • Ability to manage and maintain a variety of schedules
  • Ability to problem solve technology related issues
  • Ability to maintain accurate accountrecords
  • Social perceptiveness and strong people skills
