Job summary

Bloomington Public Schools seeks a Technology Support Paraprofessional to serve Normandale Hills Elementary and New Code Academy. This role will be the primary tech for the elementary school and online campus, assisting staff and students with hardware, software, and network needs.

The position runs 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, 195 days per year. Wage range is $23.06–$27.15 per hour based on experience; wage placement follows district policies.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; 60 college credits or Para Pro exam.
  • Advanced knowledge of technology equipment.
  • Advanced customer service skills.
  • Ability to independently prioritize and execute tasks in a timely manner.
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
  • Ability to manage and maintain a variety of schedules.
  • Ability to problem solve technology related issues.
  • Ability to maintain accurate account records.
  • Social perceptiveness and strong people skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair building technology equipment.
  • Provide technology related customer service and troubleshooting support.
  • Manage building tech inventory and follow district technology standards and practices.
  • General Para duties as assigned
  • Webmaster
  • AM/PM Bus duty
  • Occasional lunch/recess duty
  • Other duties as assigned

Class III ranging from $23.06 - $27.15 per hour

Required Education:
  • High School Diploma
  • 60 credits of post-secondary education or a passing score on the Para Pro Exam
Required Experience:
