Job summary

First State Bank and Trust (FSBT) seeks a Vice President of Information Technology to own the bank's technology environment. This executive role partners with a MSP and vendors to ensure reliability, security, and performance across nine locations, reporting directly to the President and CEO.

The position requires deep technical understanding, strategic project leadership, and the ability to communicate with non-technical colleagues.

Qualifications

• minimum seven years of progressively responsible IT experience with ownership of systems or IT functions
• experience with managed IT services or external technical partners
• experience leading projects from planning through completion
• working knowledge of networks, servers, virtualization, endpoints, and M365 administration
• cybersecurity controls, incident response, business continuity, and risk management
• ability to work independently without an internal tech team

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day technology operations across multiple locations
• Manage relationship with MSP and ensure service levels and responsiveness
• Oversee security tooling, access controls, patching, and vulnerability management
• Lead technology projects with stakeholders and vendors through to completion
• Coordinate audits, budgets, and reporting to senior management and Board
• Support adoption of new systems through training and documentation
• Act as information security liaison during examinations and audits
