You will assess markets, ecosystems, and partnerships, building actionable roadmaps and business cases for technology-enabled offerings while advising senior leaders on critical choices and risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years in technology strategy, corporate strategy, consulting, or related fields.
• Proven ability to develop strategic roadmaps and business cases.
• Strong communication and executive-level presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise technology strategy engagements addressing opportunities and disruptions with impact on Caterpillar's businesses and customers.
• Develop enterprise-level strategic perspectives and roadmaps for AI, robotics, sensing technologies, and application development.
• Translate emerging technology developments into business implications and executive recommendations.
• Assess technologies, platforms, use cases, business models, and ecosystem structures.
• Develop strategic roadmaps linking customer needs with enterprise growth and technology capabilities.
• Evaluate build, buy, partner, and invest options for strategic fit and differentiation.
• Identify opportunities for technology-enabled products and new business models.
• Partner with Caterpillar business units and enterprise functions.
• Develop business cases and investment theses quantifying market potential and execution risk.
• Lead external market research, technology scouting, and ecosystem analysis.
• Present recommendations to senior leadership and align around critical choices.
• Develop early-warning perspectives on disruptive technologies or competitors.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across business, engineering, digital, finance, and operations.
• Build reusable strategy methodologies and knowledge assets.
