Caterpillar is seeking a Senior AI Architect/Engineer to lead the design of agentic AI solutions and scalable AI infrastructure across the enterprise. You will partner with IT, business functions and product teams to shape AI strategy and implement robust, auditable architectures.

You will evaluate new AI technologies, ensure architectural soundness, and drive deployment patterns, governance and observability across cloud or hybrid environments.

Competenze

• Expert understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to transmit, receive and interpret ideas, information, and needs clearly.
• Deep understanding of modern AI/ML architectures including transformer models, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agent frameworks, and model orchestration patterns.
• Hands-on experience with major cloud AI platforms (Azure OpenAI Service, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI) and ability to architect multi-cloud or hybrid solutions.
• Expert knowledge of requirements analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required functionality and non-functionality for success.
• Expert knowledge of data architecture; ability to design blueprints for data resource integration across processes.
• Ability to develop IT blueprint and roadmap aligning architecture with business strategy.
• Strong knowledge of MLOps including model versioning, deployment pipelines, monitoring and governance frameworks.
