Job summary

Central York School District in York, PA seeks a knowledgeable and dependable full-time Technology Specialist to provide district-wide technical support for students and staff, and to troubleshoot, repair and upgrade Apple hardware and related peripherals across buildings.

The role covers installation, configuration, inventory maintenance, coordinating repairs, and special projects, with 8-hour days and 260 working days per year; certification and ongoing training are valued to keep our learning

Qualifications

• Requires a 2-year tech degree or 1-3 years in tech support.
• Advanced training in technical support.
• Apple certification required.

Responsibilities

• Install, test and configure computer hardware and software.
• Work with users to establish adequate controls for physical security and backup.
• Troubleshoot, repair and upgrade Apple hardware (iPads, computers, monitors, etc.) and related peripherals (printers, scanners, cameras, projectors).
• Coordinate repairs with service providers for warranty and out-of-warranty work.
• Research and price shop for hardware, software and parts.
• Maintain accurate hardware and software inventory records at buildings.
• Maintain all computers and printers for assigned buildings per district procedures.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Provide district-wide technical support for Technology Assistants, Administration, Teachers, Support Staff, Students, and other end users. Responsible for troubleshooting, repair and upgrade of Apple hardware and related peripherals.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Install, test and configure computer hardware and software.
• Work with users to establish adequate controls for physical security and backup.
• Perform troubleshooting, repair and upgrade of Apple hardware (iPads, computers, monitors, etc.) and related peripherals (printers, scanners, cameras, projectors, etc.).
• Coordinate repairs with service providers for warranty and out-of-warranty work.
• Research and price shop for hardware, software and computer-related purchase of replacement parts.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate hardware and software inventory records at building(s).
• Responsible for the maintenance of all computers and printers for assigned building(s), as per District procedure.
• Perform special projects and other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

• Possess a minimum of 2 year degree in a technology field, or 1-3 years' experience in related technology support functions.
• Advanced training in technical support.
• Maintain Apple certification.

Hourly Rate

$18.38-$22.56

• Step placement shall be based on years of service recognized by employer.
