Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) in San Francisco seeks a Technology Services Senior Designer to help empower clients with energy-efficient building solutions and advanced ICT systems.

Join a collaborative team delivering health, science, and education projects, leading ICT design in healthcare, higher education, and scientific environments, with Revit MEP and AutoCAD expertise and professional certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years ICT design experience in Built Environment or similar
• Experience leading ICT design for Healthcare, Higher Education, Scientific environments
• Proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD
• Certification preferred: RCDD, CTS‑D, PSP, CNIDP
• Understanding of ICT budgets, capabilities and options

Responsibilities

• Translate system design concepts into layouts using basis of design and user/consultant inputs.
• Lead ICT design for projects in healthcare, higher education, and scientific settings.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure design integrity and budget alignment.

As a Technology Services Senior Designer in our San Francisco office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy‑efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.

In this role, you will use your experience and on‑going training to convert system design concepts into specific layouts by interpreting information set forth in basis of design as well as information gathered from users, other consultants, field surveys and code research.

Expertise of our most successful Technology Services Senior Designer

• 10+ years’ experience designing Information Communications Technology (ICT) systems in a Built Environment, Building Technology, or Electrical consultant firm: structured cabling, voice/data systems, emergency communications, audio‑visual systems, mission critical/data center connectivity, clinical communication systems to name a few.
• Experience in leading the ICT design for projects in Healthcare, Higher Education, and Scientific environments.
• Understanding of in Revit MEP and AutoCAD capabilities.
• RCDD, CTS‑D, PSP, or CNIDP certification preferred.
• Experience with ICT systems and infrastructure, including budgets, capabilities, options.

• Knowledge of TIA, BICSI and NEC standards.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $130,000 to $180,000
