Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. in Madison seeks a Technology Services Project Designer with strong ICT design expertise.

You will convert design concepts into detailed layouts, interpret basis of design data, and coordinate with users and consultants to achieve precise, buildable solutions. With 7+ years of ICT experience, you will lead design for healthcare, higher education, and scientific environments while leveraging Revit MEP and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of ICT design experience in Built Environment or related firms.
• Experience leading ICT design on Healthcare, Higher Education or Scientific projects.
• Knowledge of Revit MEP and AutoCAD capabilities.
• Experience with ICT budgets and infrastructure planning.

Responsibilities

• Translate design concepts into detailed ICT layouts from basis of design and user input.
• Lead ICT design efforts for multiple projects across sectors.

As a Technology Services Project Designer in our Madison office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.

Why we need you

In this role, you will use prior experience to convert system design concepts into specific layouts by interpreting information set forth in basis of design as well as information gathered from users, other consultants, field surveys and code research.

Expertise required

• 7+ years' experience designing Information Communications Technology (ICT) systems in a Built Environment, Building Technology, or Electrical consultant firm: structured cabling, voice/data systems, emergency communications, audio-visual systems, mission critical/data center connectivity, clinical communication systems to name a few.
• Experience in leading the ICT design for projects in Healthcare, Higher Education, and Scientific environments.
• Understanding of Revit MEP and AutoCAD capabilities.
• Experience with ICT systems and infrastructure, including budgets, capabilities, options.

Desired skills

• Understanding of building systems spatial requirements and design coordination.
• RCDD certification.
• Strong spoken and written communication skills.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Quick technical comprehension and motivation focused on client, project, and team outcomes.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.Effective working individually and within team environments.
