Job summary

Clackamas County Technology Services seeks a Deputy Director to lead the county’s technology operations, strategy, and modernization efforts. You will guide infrastructure, enterprise systems, cybersecurity, and governance while aligning with county priorities and customer needs.

As a senior leader, you will manage over 60 FTE, mentor IT managers, and collaborate with executive leadership to set standards, translate strategy into actions, and drive service excellence across departments.

Qualifications

• Eight years of progressively responsible IT experience with demonstrated leadership of operations, programs or services.
• At least two years managing multiple, large, high‑performing cross‑functional teams and projects.
• Experience in enterprise technology, digital innovation, budgets, vendor management, and IT governance.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for Technology Services and set priorities with the Director.
• Oversee a broad technology portfolio including infrastructure, enterprise systems, cybersecurity, and governance.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, procurement, contracts, and vendor relationships; drive modernization and service improvements.
