Job summary

Clackamas County Technology Services seeks a Deputy Director to lead a broad technology portfolio, including infrastructure, enterprise systems, cybersecurity, and digital modernization. You will set priorities, guide strategies, and oversee a team of over 60 FTE while partnering with the Director to deliver countywide technology services.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of progressively responsible IT experience with leadership of operations, programs, or services.
• Two+ years managing multiple large cross-functional teams and projects in core areas (infrastructure, applications/data, security).
• Experience in enterprise technology, digital modernization, budgeting, vendor management, and working with elected officials or boards (valued).

Responsibilities

• Define and execute technology strategy aligned to county priorities.
• Lead a department of 60+ FTE with governance over infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and technology investments.
• Serve as advisor to County leadership on opportunities and challenges in technology.
• Foster an equitable, inclusive work environment for Technology Services.
