U.S. News & World Report in the Washington, DC area seeks a Senior Software Developer to build data-driven web applications at scale. You will work on the front-end with React and back-end with Python, applying AI-first approaches to improve workflows.

Join a collaborative team, mentor colleagues, partner with product managers and designers, and own features end to end—from design through testing. A minimum of three years of full-stack experience and a CS degree are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
Experience with AI-assisted development, skills, agents, automations.
Modern JavaScript frameworks, such as React.
Web styling with CSS preprocessors or CSS-in-JS.

Unix-based operating systems, such as Linux or Mac OS X, with shells/CLI.

As a senior software developer, you will be:

A key contributor for a team of developers working with one of our verticals

Position Requirements

You should definitely have:
