U.S. News & World Report is seeking a Senior Software Developer (Python, React, AI) to help build dynamic, data-driven products with an AI-first mindset. You will work with React on the frontend, Python on the backend, and AWS to power scalable solutions, while guiding architecture and mentoring teammates.

The role emphasizes collaboration across designers, analysts and stakeholders in a hybrid setup, with a focus on delivering clean, well-documented code and continuous skill growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of related or similar full-stack experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Experience with AI-assisted development, agents, automations.
• Modern JavaScript frameworks, such as React.
• Web styling with CSS preprocessors or CSS-in-JS.
• Server-side technologies, such as Python, Java, or NodeJS.
• Databases, such as PostgreSQL.
• Unix-based operating systems and CLI basics.
• Version control, such as Git.

As a senior software developer, you will be:

Position Requirements

You should definitely have:

• Minimum three years of related or similar full stack experience

• Modern JavaScript patterns and ES6
• Server-side technologies, such as Python, Java, or NodeJS
• Databases, such as PostgreSQL
• Unix-based operating systems, such as Linux or Mac OS X, along with the shells and command-line tools available in those environments
• Version control, such as Git

It would be nice if you had:

• CICD pipelines such as Jenkins
• Cloud environments such as AWS
• Data ingestion/transformation
• Developed product-facing AI features
