Job summary

Maximus is seeking a senior IT architecture and cybersecurity compliance leader to guide the design, analysis, and secure development of enterprise IT systems in DHS-aligned environments. You will develop and maintain security artifacts (SSP, SAR, POA&M) and drive RMF activities to ensure proper authorization and ongoing compliance.

The role requires 10+ years of relevant experience, eligibility for Public Trust, strong analytical and communication skills, and collaboration across engineering,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 10+ years of IT architecture or cybersecurity compliance experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust; U.S. citizenship or national status required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in design, analysis, and development of secure enterprise IT systems and architecture solutions.
• Develop, maintain, and manage security artifacts including SSP, SAR, and POA&M.
• Execute and support RMF activities to ensure DHS processes and documentation standards are met.
• Ensure systems comply with DHS enterprise architecture, governance frameworks, and cybersecurity standards.
• Support enterprise architecture governance by maintaining architecture artifacts and system documentation.
• Perform vulnerability analysis, compliance reviews, and remediation of identified weaknesses.
• Contribute to continuous monitoring and federal scorecard reporting.
• Align system solutions with cloud strategies (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS).
• Support system certification, security testing, and evaluation processes.
• Coordinate across engineering, cybersecurity, and operations teams for secure integration.
