Job summary

Maximus delivers secure enterprise cyber solutions in support of Department of War (DoW) missions. The Chief Cyber Architect leads defining, governing, and sustaining cybersecurity architecture to ensure mission-ready systems align with DoW standards and risk management in classified environments.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of enterprise cybersecurity and architecture experience.
• DoD 8140 certifications for DCWF 652: CISSP OR CCSP OR CISM (at least one).
• Knowledge of DoDAF or TOGAF; NIST SP 800-53/800-171; RMF; eMASS.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and maintain enterprise cybersecurity architecture aligned to DoW standards.
• Define security requirements and ensure integration across systems, platforms, and services.
• Ensure architectural alignment with NIST publications and DoW/DISA directives.
• Advise technical leadership on architecture-level cyber risk, tradeoffs, and mitigation strategies.
