Job summary

Procon Consulting in Washington, DC is seeking a Technology Scheduler to develop and maintain integrated project schedules for enterprise technology implementations. You will coordinate activities across project managers, technical teams, and vendors to keep milestones on track.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years experience in scheduling and project controls, with advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project, plus strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Construction Management, Engineering, Business, PM, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of scheduling/controls experience supporting technology projects.
  • Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Experience developing integrated schedules across multiple workstreams.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based software implementations or digital transformations.
  • Understanding CPM, schedule forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Experience with data migration or technology deployment projects is preferred.
  • Familiarity with federal or large enterprise tech environments is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; collaboration with technical teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced remote environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and analyze integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project for enterprise technology implementation projects.
  • Coordinate scheduling activities across project managers, technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure milestones remain on track.
  • Monitor project progress, schedule performance, critical path activities, milestones, dependencies, and potential impacts.
  • Prepare schedule updates, dashboards, forecasting reports, and performance metrics for leadership.
  • Identify schedule risks, resource constraints, and delays; recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Support planning, execution, testing, deployment, training, and production activities.
  • Assist with resource planning, workload forecasting, and schedule optimization across multiple projects.
  • Support software configuration, system implementation, data migration, and integration from scheduling perspective.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align schedules with business objectives and deliverables.
  • Support cybersecurity compliance activities and project readiness milestones as required.
  • Maintain schedule documentation, reporting standards, and project controls best practices.
  • Participate in continuous process improvement and develop scheduling standards and templates.
  • Grow into broader project management and leadership within the Technology Department.

Procon now seeks a Technology Scheduler. The candidate will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to developing and maintaining integrated project schedules, coordinating technology project activities, monitoring milestones and dependencies, performing schedule analysis and reporting, supporting stakeholder coordination, and providing schedule risk assessments and project controls support.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in project scheduling, project controls, or project coordination supporting technology, software implementation, or enterprise system projects.
  • Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and analyzing integrated project schedules across multiple workstreams.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based software implementations, enterprise applications, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Understanding of project scheduling principles, critical path methodology (CPM), schedule forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Experience supporting data migration, system implementation, or technology deployment projects is preferred.
  • Familiarity with federal government or large enterprise technology environments is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
