Technology Sales Partner Technical Specialist - Cloud

Join to apply for the Technology Sales Partner Technical Specialist - Cloud role at IBM.

Focused on expanding the overall capability and capacity of the IBM Ecosystem, this role involves serving as a technical consultant to build trust, understand partner offerings, and co-create solutions that showcase collaboration strength. The position aims to motivate partners to include IBM solutions in their client proposals.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Facilitate pre-sales technical activities such as demonstrations and co-creation sessions leading to proofs of concept (PoC) and minimal viable products (MVPs).
  • Lead joint-learning activities to build technical skills of partners, enabling co-selling opportunities and simplifying solutioning for complex solutions.
  • Collaborate with SMEs, partners, and teams to identify gaps, strengthen market fit, and explore new growth opportunities.
  • Continuously expand knowledge in cloud trends, cloud-native technologies like Kubernetes, Red Hat, Docker, Cloud Foundry, Serverless computing, etc.
  • Encourage a growth-minded, co-creative culture to deliver value and drive innovation that accelerates partner success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Deep technical expertise in IBM Cloud Platform Portfolio with the ability to engage in complex architectural discussions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven track record in influencing at all levels.
  • Attention to detail and proficiency with sales management systems.
  • Understanding of IBM’s client strategy and partner ecosystem alignment.

Preferred Experience

  • Knowledge of cloud market trends and providing trusted advice.
  • Experience in technical sales, opportunity discovery, and designing cloud solutions.
  • Experience with key infrastructure and PaaS technologies like VMWare, PowerVS, Red Hat OpenShift, etc.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking, gateways, and software-defined networking.
