Job summary

Ameriprise Financial is seeking a Senior Manager, Technology Risk to lead second-line oversight of technology and cyber risk across assigned domains. You will partner with Technology, Information Security, and business leaders to identify, assess, and mitigate risk while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.

The role requires 7–10+ years in technology risk, strong knowledge of risk frameworks, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• 7–10+ years of technology risk/cyber risk/operational risk experience.
• Strong knowledge of IT operational processes, technology controls, cybersecurity practices, and risk management frameworks.
• Ability to independently assess risk exposures and provide effective challenge.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong communication abilities.
• Ability to influence stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization.
• Experience with GRC/eGRC platforms and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk oversight activities for technology and cyber domains.
• Provide credible challenge to first line risk management practices.
• Prepare materials and risk reporting for governance forums and risk committees.
• Lead execution of Risk and Control Self-Assessments.
• Support ORM methodologies and standards improvements.
• Review and challenge management responses to risk events.
• Develop risk reporting, dashboards, and MI for decision-making.
• Mentor junior team members on risk methodologies.
