Our Client, an Oilfield Services company, is looking for a Technology Quality Technician for their Rosharon, TX location.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues (e.g., replacement of parts such as pressure pumps, thermocouples, tooling, treating iron, tubing).
- Diagnose and resolve hydraulic issues (e.g., control valves, pumps, motors, cylinders, hydraulic pressure hoses).
- Diagnose and resolve basic electrical issues (e.g., troubleshooting VFD, motors, 4-20mA and 24V sensors, PLC and RMC controllers).
- Diagnose and resolve pneumatic issues (e.g., control valves, cylinders, vacuum systems, basic compressor knowledge).
- Perform preventative maintenance checks on pumps, compressors, drivers, and auxiliary equipment.
- Rig downhole tools and install pressure vessels or bunkers by connecting high-pressure tubing, performing pressure tests using HMI remote control and data acquisition.
- Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic computer operations for maintenance and test report documentation.
- Communicate effectively with engineers, management, and other departments verbally and electronically.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, which may change according to company needs.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of technical degree or equivalent experience in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and robotic systems.
- Preferred: Minimum 2 years of formal training or work experience in these systems.
- Experience with software systems such as Allen Bradley PLC RSLogix, RMC logics, and Keyence Marking Builder.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and inspection tools like calipers and micrometers.
- Knowledge of pressure testing procedures and interpreting test results.
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical blueprints, test plans, and diagrams.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in pressure testing and mechanical skills.
