ABOUT THE POSITION

VHB's Technology Enablement Team is seeking a Technology Project Manager to join the team. In this role, you will play a vital part in orchestrating the planning, execution and successful delivery of our diverse technology initiatives and programs. Your responsibilities will encompass steering the complete lifecycle of various Technology projects both within VHB's internal landscape and potentially in collaboration with external clients. This involves overseeing the entire spectrum of project activities, from conception, requirements gathering, and design, to development, testing, and implementation that are aimed at providing technological solutions to meet the end-users' business needs.

Typical projects involve a wide array of technologies and applications of technologies including areas such as Digital Twins, Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality (AR/VR), GIS, Big Data Analytics, Application Development, Relational Database Management Systems and Mobile Data Collection. Your role will be pivotal in steering these initiatives toward success.

The ideal candidate will have the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule from any of our VHB offices.

Furthermore, the ideal candidate will work with a degree of autonomy while working under moderate supervision. Your role will encompass managing, coordinating, and setting priorities for the complete life cycle of the technology-driven projects.

Responsibilities

    Implements project management processes and methodologies to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget, adhere to high quality standards, and exceed customer expectations.
  • Manages technical and non-technical aspects of small to medium-scale projects.
  • Conducts financial and budgetary analysis to determine project value and identify the most suitable solution that aligns with user needs and VHB standards.
  • Determines project needs and secure resources , efficiently assigns tasks and responsibilities, and oversees resource allocation and day-to-day project flow.
  • Serves as a liaison between team members, external clients, and upper management, fostering effective communication and alignment.
  • Ensures the adherence to deadlines and established quality benchmarks, providing comprehensive reports to clients or project sponsors.
  • Offers guidance and technical mentorship to project team members; communicates clear job expectations; monitors performance and evaluates results.
  • Actively engages in professional and personal growth, aligning with career aspirations.
  • Executes all job responsibilities while adhering to relevant federal, state, and local regulations as well as VHB's internal policies and procedures.

  • Solid grasp of technical intricacies related to software and systems.

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Initiative-taking, highly organized, and detail oriented.
  • Skills and knowledge must be commensurate with required experience and job level.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 0-2 years of project management experience, working with external clients
  • 5+ years of related technology experience within the A/E/C industry
  • Project Management experience in revenue generating projects
  • BS in Computer Science, GIS, Engineering, Geography, or similar area degree
  • PMP Certification preferred.

The final compensation will be based on a variety of factors such as location, individual qualifications, education, and experience.
