We have a current opening for a Technology Project Manager, this position can sit out of any of our Dallas office.
The Technology Project Manager will lead strategic technology initiatives while contributing to the development and continuous improvement of Royal Electric's project management practices, governance framework, and project delivery capabilities. This role is responsible for driving successful project outcomes, fostering stakeholder alignment, and supporting organizational project management maturity across the enterprise.
Success in the position is achieved through the following duties & responsibilities:
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource plans
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers
- Lead project execution using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies
- Track progress, manage dependencies, and ensure milestone delivery
- Serve as the primary liaison between IT, business units, vendors, and executive leadership
- Facilitate project governance meetings, steering committees, and status reporting
- Manage expectations and resolve conflicts across stakeholders
- Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and constraints
- Manage change requests, scope creep, and prioritization decisions
- Escalate critical issues and propose corrective actions
- Manage system integrators, software vendors, and service providers
- Oversee contracts, Statements of Work (SOWs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Track project financials, forecasting, and cost controls
- Coordinate deployments for infrastructure, applications, cloud migrations, ERP, HRIS, cybersecurity, and digital platforms
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance standards
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), training, cutover activities, and post-go-live stabilization
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the PMO framework, including governance standards, project delivery methodologies, templates, tools, and reporting practices
- Partner with PMO leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to define, document, and optimize project delivery processes that improve consistency, scalability, and project outcomes
- Drive adoption of project management best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery effectiveness and organizational project management maturity
- Support portfolio-level reporting and the development of project performance metrics, delivery KPIs, and executive dashboards that provide visibility into project and portfolio health
- Maintain project documentation, charters, RAID logs, and executive dashboards
- Enforce PMO standards, templates, and governance frameworks
- Capture lessons learned and best practices
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required
- 7+ years of project management experience with a focus on technology initiatives
- Proven experience managing enterprise-scale technology projects, including infrastructure, applications, cloud, cybersecurity, ERP, HRIS, and business systems implementations
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, governance practices, and delivery frameworks, including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches
- Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms
- Experience establishing, enhancing, or operating within PMO governance frameworks, including project lifecycle methodologies, standards, templates, and reporting processes
- Demonstrated ability to define, document, and improve project delivery processes that drive consistency, scalability, and successful business outcomes
- Experience developing project metrics, executive dashboards, portfolio reporting, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and executive presentation skills
- Experience managing vendors, contracts, Statements of Work (SOWs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Agile certification such as CSM, SAFe, or PMI-ACP
- Experience implementing or supporting enterprise platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics, Autodesk, or similar solutions
- Experience with cloud transformation initiatives utilizing Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience within construction, engineering, manufacturing, utilities, or other project-based industries
- Experience with portfolio management, resource capacity planning, demand management, or project portfolio governance
- Experience leading large-scale organizational change management and technology adoption initiatives
Salary Range:
- $115,000/year - $140,000/year
- This is exempt position
