Job summary

The City of Fort Worth Police Department, Technology Services Section, is seeking a Business Process Manager to lead technology planning, management, and operations for a department of over 2,300 staff across 40 facilities and 100+ apps. Travel throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex is required.

The role oversees IT services, contract management, budgets, and compliance with CJIS, Homeland Security, and HIPAA while driving process improvements and public safety outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college with major coursework in Business Analytics, MIS, Business or related field.
• Five years of increasing responsible experience in communications, security and/or computer operations, plus two years of supervisory responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of Technology Services Section and Police Department IT-related systems.
• Assist in inventory management, support, and replacement schedule of Police Department computer equipment.
• Provide proactive support to internal and external customers.
• Work various hours, including evenings/weekends as needed for 24/7 operations.
• Ensure compliance of police information systems with CJIS, Homeland Security and HIPAA.
• Assist in maintaining liaison between Police Department and IT Solutions Department.
• Manage IT service requests and document work in service management systems.
• Interact with all levels of staff and provide customer-focused service.
• Assist with management, execution, and renewal of over 100 IT contracts as Contract Manager.
• Work with Program Support Division Manager on IT budgets and strategic plans.
• Serve on Technology Committee and regional advisory boards and contribute to the 5-Year Strategic Plan.
