Job summary

Stride, Inc. is seeking a transformative Head of Technology to lead Tallo’s engineering and technology org. You will manage engineering managers and guide software engineering and QA teams, setting the technical direction for a high-growth platform used by early talent.

You’ll partner with Product, Data, Marketing, and leadership to convert strategy into execution. The role emphasizes working leadership, architecture health, roadmap delivery, and scalable AI-enabled capabilities.

Qualifications

• Deep experience in software engineering and senior leadership of multi-team organizations.
• Proven experience leading engineering managers and building team structures, leveling frameworks, and operating models.
• Track record of shipping customer-facing product capabilities, including data-driven or AI-enabled features, into production.
• Ownership mindset for technology safety and security, with experience building secure systems and meeting compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering organization, ensuring durable systems and alignment with product roadmap.
• Set and evolve the engineering structure, hire and coach engineering managers, and provide clear growth paths.
• Partner with the CEO, PM, data, and marketing to translate strategy into execution and investment tradeoffs.
• Drive AI/ML strategy and data architecture collaboration to create real product value.
