The Technology Manager provides overarching strategic and operational leadership across complex network and transport environments, enterprise systems, and IT infrastructure. You will manage end-to-end multi-protocol label switching, carrier IP routing, optical transport backbones, and virtualized computing platforms to guarantee five-nines service availability across regional fiber networks. Day-to-day duties involve leading seasoned network and systems engineers, resolving critical technical escalations, conducting comprehensive capacity planning, and spearheading infrastructure modernization initiatives.

In this capacity, you will architect resilient Layer 2/Layer 3 networking frameworks, evaluate carrier-grade vendor equipment, and implement stringent cybersecurity and business continuity standards. The role demands an agile technologist capable of conducting deep-dive protocol analysis alongside vendor contract governance, disaster recovery execution, and inter-departmental collaboration. Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and direct multidisciplinary technical engineering teams across Network Engineering, Transport Engineering, and IT Systems.
• Oversee carrier-grade IP networking architectures, including advanced routing, switching, VLAN segmentations, and L2/L3 transport topologies.
• Manage enterprise-wide implementation and performance tuning of dynamic routing protocols, specifically BGP, OSPF, and associated traffic engineering policies.
• Direct DWDM and optical transport engineering operations, ensuring optical link redundancy, channel capacity, and high-speed wavelength stability.
• Design and drive end-to-end network architecture, scalability strategies, redundancy frameworks, and long-term capacity planning models.
• Supervise server environments, enterprise storage solutions, virtualization clusters, and mission-critical IT infrastructure systems.
• Serve as top-tier escalation authority for critical network outages, directing root-cause investigations and implementing preventive reliability measures.
• Formulate and enforce comprehensive cybersecurity policies, disaster recovery architectures, and enterprise business continuity frameworks.
• Direct technology evaluations, RFP processes, carrier vendor relationships, and third-party contract negotiations.
• Establish strategic technology roadmaps and oversee the timely execution of complex fiber, ISP, and network infrastructure deployment projects.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 7+ years of progressive professional experience in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Carrier IT Infrastructure.
• Proven track record of technical leadership or engineering management supervising technical teams and operational workflows.
• In-depth subject matter expertise in core networking protocols and technologies, specifically BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and Layer 2/Layer 3 switching.
• Demonstrated hands-on and working knowledge of DWDM, optical transport networks, and carrier fiber technologies.
• Extensive background operating within ISP, Carrier, CLEC, Fiber Operator, or modern Data Center mission-critical environments.
• Practical background managing enterprise servers, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and foundational IT infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience managing business continuity planning, disaster recovery drills, and network cybersecurity safeguards.
• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, stakeholder coordination, and team leadership capabilities.
