Job summary

Sanford Health seeks an IT leader to manage a team of engineers responsible for telecommunications endpoints at 800+ locations and over 50,000 endpoints, and to define IT technology standards and policies.

You will centrally plan, manage, and implement functional technology, oversee vendor contracts and budgets, and partner with business teams on financial and strategic initiatives while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, business or a related field.
• Minimum of four years' experience in management.
• ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and balance multiple tasks within deadlines.
• Experience in training and presentation techniques.
• Knowledge of healthcare information systems and regulatory requirements.

• Lead the functional management of Sanford Health's IT Technology
• Define IT technology standards and policies
• Centrally manage the planning, management, and implementation of functional technology
• Manage a team delivering services across the enterprise
• Promote quality in support services and drive business value in compliance with IT policies and procedures
• Identify and manage risks related to support services
• Identify, assess, and prioritize strategic opportunities in clinical and non-clinical settings
• Develop people, processes, and technologies to deliver strategic opportunities
• Provide subject matter expertise to governing bodies
• Partner with business teams on financial and strategic management
• Implement performance development programs and create opportunities for team skill growth
• Approve time-off requests and employee timecards
• Maintain staffing schedules
• Interview, hire, discipline, and address personnel issues
• Complete performance appraisals
• Develop and maintain budgets
• Oversee vendor management, contracts, and support agreements
• Review statements of work related to project leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, business or a related field
• Minimum of four years' experience in management required
• Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation certification preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience providing excellent customer service in a prompt and professional manner
• Ability to work independently and balance multiple tasks within deadlines
• Excellent problem-solving skills and comfort managing change
• Experience in training and presentation techniques
• Ability to manage a project across teams and meet goals
• Knowledge of current clinical practice, regulatory healthcare requirements, and healthcare information systems
