Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Technology Manager (IT) for a private family office in Atherton, CA. You will be the primary technology resource across residences, supporting IT infrastructure, end-user computing, smart home automation, cybersecurity, and executive tech needs.

The ideal candidate is highly technical and customer-service oriented, with hands-on experience across networks, servers, devices, cloud systems, A/V, and security technologies while advising leadership and staff.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT experience.
• Strong hands-on support across networks, servers, devices and end-user tech.
• Experience with smart home automation systems.
• Audio/Visual (A/V) and presentation tech experience.
• Customer service and executive support background.
• Experience supporting high-touch VIP users or executive clientele.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
• On-call for urgent technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide white-glove IT support to principal and household staff.
• Manage networks, servers, laptops, tablets, smartphones, printers, and cloud services.
• Administer Google Workspace and Microsoft Office environments.
• Maintain smart home automation systems and residential tech.
• Support CCTV, access controls, security systems, and backup power systems.
• Configure and troubleshoot A/V and PA equipment for meetings and events.
• Record, edit, and manage videos for speeches, talks, fundraising events, and presentations.
• Monitor cybersecurity, system access, passwords, and technology policies.
• Coordinate with vendors and third-party technology partners.
• Provide on-call support after hours and maintain documentation.
• Train staff on technology usage and best practices.

This individual will serve as the primary technology resource across multiple residences and operational environments, providing white-glove support for everything from enterprise IT infrastructure and end-user computing to smart home automation, cybersecurity, and executive technology needs.

The ideal candidate is highly technical, customer-service oriented, and passionate about emerging technologies. This role requires a hands-on professional who can manage networks, servers, devices, cloud systems, A/V environments, home automation platforms, and security technologies while also serving as a trusted advisor to leadership and staff. The Technology Manager will support fundraising events, recordings, presentations, and executive travel-related technology issues, ensuring seamless operations at all times. Day-to-Day:

• Provide white-glove IT support to a principal and household staff
• Manage networks, servers, laptops, tablets, smartphones, printers, and cloud services
• Administer Google Workspace and Microsoft Office environments
• Maintain smart home automation systems and residential technology
• Support CCTV, access controls, security systems, and backup power systems
• Configure and troubleshoot A/V and PA equipment for meetings and events
• Record, edit, and manage videos for speeches, talks, fundraising events, and presentations
• Monitor cybersecurity, system access, passwords, and technology policies
• Research and recommend emerging technologies to improve operations
• Coordinate with vendors and third-party technology partners
• Provide on-call support for urgent technical issues after hours
• Maintain technology inventory, documentation, and procedures
• Train staff on technology usage and best practices
• Support miscellaneous household and operational projects as needed

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 10+ years of IT experience
• Strong hands-on experience supporting networks, servers, laptops, mobile devices, and end-user technology
• Experience with smart home automation systems
• Audio/Visual (A/V) and presentation technology experience
• Strong customer service and executive support background
• Experience supporting high-touch VIP users or executive-level clientele
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices
• Ability to be on-call for urgent technical issues
• Comfortable working in a private residence environment
