Job description

Archer is collaborating with Vanguard to connect them with exceptional professionals for this role.

Technology is the enabling force powering Vanguard's client experience, investment products, and advice. As technology continues to evolve, so does the need for leaders who can build secure, resilient systems that protect our clients and business. Vanguard's Technology Leadership Program (TLP) is designed to develop the next generation of IT leaders through hands-on experience, collaboration, and rotational learning. Through three unique rotations, you will build expertise at the intersection of software engineering and cybersecurity while developing the leadership skills needed to safeguard Vanguard's technology ecosystem.

Build Secure Solutions That Protect What Matters Most

At Vanguard, we're committed to doing what's right for our clients—and that includes protecting their data, assets, and trust. As part of the Technology Leadership Program in the Risk & Security Engineering track, you'll design and build secure technology solutions that strengthen Vanguard's systems and reduce risk across the enterprise. Your work will focus on embedding security into applications and infrastructure - ensuring the systems that power Vanguard are resilient, reliable, and secure. Through real-world engineering assignments and collaboration with cross-functional teams, you'll contribute to protecting Vanguard from evolving cyber threats while enabling innovation. Make it count.

Are you a self-starter who enjoys building solutions and solving complex technical challenges? Join a team where innovation is driven by purpose. You'll work at the intersection of engineering and security, partnering with developers, cybersecurity teams, and business stakeholders to design and implement secure systems and tools. Through technical capstones, hackathons, and hands-on projects, you'll strengthen your technical expertise while building your ability to collaborate, influence, and lead.

The Technology Leadership Program is a two-year rotational development experience designed for graduating students ready to begin their careers in technology. Participants complete three eight-month rotations across Risk & Security Engineering-focused teams, gaining exposure to areas such as secure software development, DevSecOps, identity and access management, and vulnerability remediation - while increasing ownership, responsibility, and leadership capability over time.
