Archer, in partnership with Vanguard, is seeking candidates for its Technology Leadership Program in the Data Scientist track. You'll apply machine learning, statistical modeling, and AI to solve real business problems and deliver value at scale across Vanguard.

Through three rotations and hands-on projects, you will build analytic depth while developing leadership capabilities, collaborating with data scientists, engineers, and business partners.

The Technology Leadership Program is a rotational development experience designed for early‑career technologists ready to make an impact. Data Scientist participants complete three rotations across Data & Analytics‑focused teams, gaining exposure to different domains, tools, and business challenges while increasing ownership, responsibility, and leadership capability over time.

In this program, you will:

• Develop and apply machine learning models and advanced statistical techniques to solve business problems
• Work with large and complex data sets to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities
• Design experiments, build predictive and prescriptive models, and support model validation efforts
• Translate business problems into analytical approaches and deliver solutions from concept to implementation
• Partner with data, engineering, and business teams to drive data‑informed decision‑making
• Communicate complex analytical findings and recommendations to both technical and non‑technical audiences
• Take ownership of projects and contribute to delivering high‑impact outcomes
• Collaborate across teams, share insights, and influence strategic decisions
• Build a network with program managers, alumni, senior leaders, and peers
• Meet regularly with your department manager and program manager to receive personalized coaching and mentorship

What it takes:

• Master’s, MBA, or relevant advanced degree in Data & Analytics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative or analytical field
• Strong interest in machine learning, AI, and advanced analytics
• Experience with programming languages such as Python or SQL, and familiarity with analytical or modeling tools
• Demonstrated leadership potential, initiative, and ability to take ownership of work
• Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, team‑oriented environment
• Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher preferred
