Job summary

The Vanguard Group offers the Technology Leadership Program (TLP) Data Analyst track in Malvern, PA, a two-year rotational program designed to transform graduates into data-driven IT leaders. You will build dashboards, analyze data, and collaborate across business and technology teams to inform strategy and improve operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Data & Analytics or related quantitative field.
  • Strong interest in using data to solve business problems and influence decisions.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Python, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential and ability to take ownership.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team; GPA 3.2+ preferred.

As data continues to shape decision‑making across the enterprise, there is a growing need for leaders who can turn insights into action. Vanguard’s Technology Leadership Program (TLP) is designed to develop the next generation of IT leaders through hands‑on experience, collaboration, and rotational learning. Through three unique rotations, you will build deep expertise in data and analytics while developing the leadership skills needed to drive strategic impact across Vanguard.

Through real‑world assignments and collaboration with business and technology partners, you’ll gain exposure to how data enables Vanguard to serve clients more effectively.

The Technology Leadership Program is a two‑year rotational development experience designed for graduating students ready to begin their careers in technology. Participants complete three eight‑month rotations across Data & Analytics‑focused teams, gaining exposure to different business areas, data domains, and analytical challenges while increasing ownership, responsibility, and leadership capability over time.

In this program, you will:
  • Analyze structured and unstructured data to uncover insights that support business decisions
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations that communicate key trends and outcomes
  • Partner with business and technology teams to understand needs and translate them into analytical solutions
  • Apply data management and governance principles to ensure data accuracy and integrity

What it takes:
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant advanced degree in Data & Analytics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative or analytical field
  • Strong interest in using data to solve business problems and influence decisions
  • Familiarity with analytical tools or technologies (e.g., SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Demonstrated leadership potential, initiative, and ability to take ownership of work
  • Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, team‑oriented environment
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher preferred
