Vanguard is launching a Technology Leadership Program (Data Scientist track) designed for early-career technologists. You’ll develop and apply ML models, analyze large data sets, and design experiments to translate business problems into actionable insights.

You will rotate across Data & Analytics teams, build leadership capabilities, and partner with engineering and business colleagues to drive data-informed decisions. This program emphasizes hands-on projects, mentorship, and real-world impact.

Qualifications

• Master's, MBA, or relevant advanced degree in Data & Analytics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field.
• Strong interest in machine learning, AI, and advanced analytics.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python or SQL, and familiarity with analytical or modeling tools.
• Demonstrated leadership potential, initiative, and ability to take ownership of work.
• Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher preferred.

The Technology Leadership Program is a rotational development experience designed for early-career technologists ready to make an impact. Data Scientist participants complete three rotations across Data & Analytics-focused teams, gaining exposure to different domains, tools, and business challenges while increasing ownership, responsibility, and leadership capability over time.

In this program, you will:

• Develop and apply machine learning models and advanced statistical techniques to solve business problems

• Meet regularly with your department manager and program manager to receive personalized coaching and mentorship

What it takes:

• Master's, MBA, or relevant advanced degree in Data & Analytics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative or analytical field
• Strong interest in machine learning, AI, and advanced analytics
• Experience with programming languages such as Python or SQL, and familiarity with analytical or modeling tools
• Demonstrated leadership potential, initiative, and ability to take ownership of work
• Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, team-oriented environment
• Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher preferred
