Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Toledo is seeking a part-time Youth Development Technology Instructor to implement technology programs and instruct children in skill development. Responsibilities

• Implement the Club technology program.

Job Description - Youth Development Technology Instructor

Summary Description of Position / Mission Statement for Role.

Working Hours (Part-time)

• 00pm-6:00pm or 4:30pm-6:30pm, Monday through Friday, depending on which club you are assigned to during the school year.

Working Hours (Summer)

• 00pm-3:00pm, Monday through Friday, at all clubs during the summer break.
• Starting pay range is $15.75 per hour based on experience.
• Personal and sick time available.

Responsibilities

• The Technology Instructor is responsible for the implementation of the Club technology program.
• The Technology Instructor will instruct club members to develop and improve skill sets.
• Responsible for the development and implementation of the technology curriculum.
• Integrate BGCA software and technology programs into the overall computer lab program.
• Develop procedures to control and protect the computers, printers, and software owned by the club.
• Ensure the computer labs are safe, clean, and conducive to learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or attending an accredited College or University.
• Technology Instructor will provide the skills to motivate, develop, and manage children in an informal educational setting.

Broad-Based Product Knowledge

• Personal computer application software including Microsoft Office, Front Page, Internet Explorer, and educational game software.
• Effective presentation skills – ability to present computer instruction in an easy-to-understand method to children.
• Fun – ability to make learning fun.
• Organizational skills – ability to maintain organization and control over the computer resources of the Club.
