Primary Purpose
Position designated to perform on-site technical work to install and maintain public announcement systems, e911, video surveillance, network, audio video systems, and all related technology equipment throughout the district.
Qualifications
Education/Certification
- High school diploma required
- Associates degree or equivalent preferred
- A+ certification preferred
- Network+ preferred
- In-Building Public Safety Communications (IBPSC) Certification preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills
- Ability to work well with children
- Ability to communicate effectively
Experience
- Knowledge of Public Announcement (PA) system
- Knowledge of Internet Protocol (IP) networks
- Knowledge of video surveillance systems
- Knowledge of troubleshooting processes
Major Responsibilities And Duties
- Assist Systems Administrators with the installation and troubleshooting of PA systems, e911, video surveillance, and network throughout the district.
- Install, maintain and upgrade public announcement system and related technology equipment throughout the district.
- Perform quality control inspections of public announcement system installations in new remodel construction.
- Install, maintain and replace surveillance cameras, cabling, and related technology equipment throughout the district.
- Perform regular quality control inspections of the e911 phone system at all locations.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation.
- Install and repair/replace network cabling, audio video cabling, and related technology throughout the district.
- Install and repair campus sound systems and related technology throughout the district.
- Make recommendations for the installation, upgrade, repair, and preventative maintenance of PA systems, e911, video surveillance cameras, AV equipment, and related technology equipment throughout the school district.
- Instruct school personnel on the operations of sound systems and public address system.
- Maintain accurate documentation of technology systems throughout the district.
- Works with outside vendors to coordinate installations and repair services.
- Perform after-hours quality control inspections as needed.
