Responsibilities

As a Technology Engineer within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA; Cleveland, OH; Birmingham, AL; Dallas, TX or Lakewood, CO.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java (Spring Boot) and/or .NET (.NET Core, ASP.NET).
• Build scalable RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven services supporting high-volume business transactions.
• Participate in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to integrate security requirements into solution designs and development standards.
• Develop and implement security controls for authentication, authorization, encryption, secure communications, and data protection.
• Participate in code reviews with a focus on security, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Support production issue analysis, incident response activities, and root cause investigations related to application security events.
• Promote adoption of DevSecOps practices and security automation within CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Understanding of secure coding principles and common application security vulnerabilities.
• Experience with enterprise application architectures, REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native development.
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, CWE classifications, and vulnerability remediation techniques.
• Experience performing secure code reviews and analyzing security scan results.
• Experience working within Agile development methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Base Salary: $86,250.00 – $158,125.00 Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
