Job summary

Orthodox Union, a leading nonprofit organization, seeks a Director of Programs Technology to guide the technology team across programs. You will shape roadmaps, coordinate cross-functional delivery, and translate organizational needs into scalable digital solutions in a mission-driven environment.

Reporting to the CIO, you will lead developers and oversee the Technology Delivery Manager, ensuring project success from intake to release and ongoing improvements across 15 programs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading technology teams in a delivery-focused environment.
• Track record managing projects from concept through implementation and support.
• Ability to translate organizational needs into technical solutions and align with strategy.

Responsibilities

• Own the overall technology roadmap for programs.
• Translate goals into prioritized technology initiatives.
• Lead decisions on solution design, platform selection, and technical direction.
• Ensure technology investments align with mission and capacity.
• Serve as primary tech contact for CIO and stakeholders.
• Oversee senior developers and Delivery Manager.
• Guide sprint planning, release coordination, and delivery operations.
• Monitor risks, bottlenecks, and portfolio health.
• Champion system stability, security, and documentation.
