Job summary

CIBC is seeking a Technology Delivery Lead in Chicago to drive enterprise-scale solutions across back-end systems and Azure-based initiatives. You will lead technology planning, governance, and delivery for complex application development and modernization projects.

The role requires strong delivery acumen, experience with SDLC governance, and proficiency with tools like MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Planview, and ServiceNow. PMP or equivalent certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience managing technology projects for application development teams, preferably in financial services.
• Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, Kanban, and Hybrid delivery models.
• Knowledge of SDLC, governance, and documentation requirements.
• Experience with MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Planview, and ServiceNow.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of technology work products for application development and modernization initiatives.
• Establish resource allocations with Technology Lead and Sponsor; define delivery approach and governance.
• Apply Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Kanban, and Hybrid delivery frameworks based on complexity and objectives.
• Develop and maintain the technology deliverable schedule; manage risks, dependencies, and costs.
• Coordinate change requests and ensure SDLC artifacts are stored per governance.
• Support Azure migration and cloud modernization aligning with objectives and security.
• Deliver timely status updates and executive reporting; ensure transparency and governance.
• Maintain documentation and SDLC artifacts per data governance requirements.
